Lucknow, October 25: A public relations officer (PRO) of a private nursing institute, one of the key accused in sex-for-diploma scandal in Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested for the second time after a fresh case was lodged against him, police said today.
Ramji Bajpai, PRO of KK Hospital and Nursing Institute, was arrested yesterday under various Sections of the IPC.
On October 4, Satya Bhama Singh, a third year student at the institute, had lodged a complaint accusing the college management of making “indecent demands” for allowing her to appear in the final year examination.
While two persons, including institute’s director, were arrested and later released on bail, Bajpai was evading police for about 15 days, police said.
He, however, surrendered before a local court, which granted him bail three days ago.
