LONDON: US President Donald Trump on Friday made a rare public apology for retweeting anti-Muslim inflammatory videos posted by U.K.’s most far-right groups..
In an interview with Piers Morgan of the U.K.’s ITV channel on Good Morning Britain, Trump said he didn’t know about the organisation when he retweeted the three anti-Muslim videos last November on the social media.
“I don’t want to be involved with these people. If you are telling me they’re horrible people, horrible, racist people, I would certainly apologise if you’d like me to do that,” Trump told presenter Morgan.
“I am often the least racist person that anybody is going to meet. Certainly I wasn’t endorsing anybody,” he later added.

He said he had made the posts because he is a “big believer” of radical Islamic terrorism and was “the least racist person.”
“Perhaps it was a big story in Britain, perhaps it was a big story in the UK, but in the United States it wasn’t a big story.
“They had a couple of depictions of radical Islamic terror. It was done because I am a big believer in fighting radical Islamic terror. This was a depiction of radical Islamic terror.”
