Hyderabad: A pregnant woman died of swine flu and another person is undergoing treatment for the H1N1 virus at a government hospital here, a health official said today.
The woman (aged around 36 years), who hails from Kumram Bheem district of Telangana, succumbed yesterday evening at the state-run Gandhi hospital, he said.
One senior citizen, who tested positive for the virus, and four suspected patients are undergoing treatment at the hospital, he said.
According to a swine flu bulletin issued by the state government on July 11, 22 people died due to swine flu and other complications till July 11 since August, 2016.
It said 11,564 samples were tested during the period and that 1,544 of them tested positive for the virus.
Sufficient stock of medicines and testing kits were available at different hospitals in the state, the bulletin added.
