Power boon for consumers during Bonalu

Hyderabad, July 31: Bonalu is going to be a boon for the twin cities. The Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Ltd (APCPDCL) is making arrangements for providing uninterrupted power supply during the Bonalu festival. The power utility is going to arrange additional transformers, remove overhead power line crossings enroute the procession and rectification of electric poles and faulty equipments.

To maintain uninterrupted power supply at the Secunderabad Mahankali temple Hyderabad north circle has rectified all 11 KV feeders and arranged alternative supply to the 33/11 KV sub-station feeding the temple.

Hyderabad central circle has made arrangements for removing overhead power line crossings during the procession. It has also kept ready mobile transformers of sufficient capacity to meet load requirement of various locations.

In the old city, Hyderabad south circle has taken up rectification of 11 KV feeders at Moghalpura, Laldarwaza, Jangammet, Chatrinaka, Moinbagh and Charminar to provide supplies to Akkanna Madanna temple, Uppuguda Mahankali temple and Durbar Maisamma temple.

Enhancement of distribution transformer capacities has been taken up at Maisamma temple, Taj Ka Naka, Achaiahnagar, Ramachandraiah temple, Balagunj, Lal Darwaza, New Bhoiguda, Rajkumar, Gowlipura, Rajpal Nagar and Om Nagar areas. Round-the-clock mobile batches will be patrolling various routes and locations for ensuring safety of devotees. While reviewing the arrangements, MT Krishna Babu,managing director of APCPDCL instructed officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the festival.
