Hyderabad, July 31: The cabinet sub-committee on fee reimbursement would submit its report on August 4 at the cabinet meeting, Social welfare minister P Subhashchandra Bose told reporters here today after a review meeting on SC and ST subplans.
He said Rs 1,300 crore has been released so far out of the Rs 2,083 crore sanctioned and the remaining amount would be released in the first week of August.
The minister said in the last financial year 9.75 per cent of the SC sub-plan was spent against the stipulated percentage of 16.6.
Chief minister expressed anguish over that and had directed the departments concerned to transfer the funds to the nodal agency, meant for sub- plan implementation, the minister said.
Tribal welfare minister P Balaraju said that chief minister had instructed to open training institutes to train ST youth. He lamented that the tribal sub-plan funds were not being spent and the chief minister had instructed the officials to see that the amount under the sub- plan was spent totally.
