Hyderabad: Congress MLC and Deputy leader the Opposition in the Legislative Council Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has demanded that the State government convene Assembly and Council sessions immediately to discuss aftermath of the demonetisation of big notes decision and its impact on common man, farmers and small traders, who were totally dependents on cash transactions and also the State economy in general.
In a press release here on Sunday, Ponguleti alleged that the people were facing hardships and there were sections of the society in real pathetic condition due to non-availability of currency and it was the duty of legislative houses to seek measures on behalf of those sections. He claimed that both the Central and State governments have failed to come to the rescue of public. (NSS)
