Congress senior leader and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar on Tuesday advised the lawyers to hold demonstrations at the offices of Telangana Rashtra Samithi and BJP in protest against the delay in bifurcation of High Court.
Speaking to media persons at Assembly premises, Ponnam alleged that both the TRS Government in Telangana and BJP Government at the Centre were deliberately delaying the bifurcation of High Court while creating an atmosphere of confrontation. He said that the lawyers who have struggled for the formation of Telangana State were not being forced to agitate for the formation of Telangana High Court. Therefore, he said instead of conducting ‘Chalo Secretariat’ rally, the lawyers should take protest march to the offices of TRS and BJP.
Ponnam also condemned the recruitment process in High Court and alleged people from Andhra Pradesh were being appointed on the posts meant for Telangana. (INN)
