Stating that pollution was growing like anything around Hyderabad city, Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has demanded the state government to shift the dumping yard located at Jawahar Nagar to a distant place away from the people.
Ponguleti met the Pollution Control Board chairman Rajiv Sharma here on Tuesday. On the occasion, Ponguleti said that poisonous gases were evolving from Hussian Sagar and pollution was increasing in Miyapur, Kukatpally and other places. He demanded the state government to set up a team to conduct a comprehensive survey on pollution as part of steps to be taken to control pollution. (NSS)
