Mathura, March 16: Police today said it has stopped the marriage of an 11-year-old girl in the district and arrested five persons in this connection.
“An attempt to perform child marriage was foiled in village Usfar and five persons have been arrested,” SSP B D Paulson said.
The 25-year-old groom was among those arrested, police said.
