New delhi, Jun 5 (UNI) Terming the late night police action on his supporters as ‘unfortunate’, Baba Ramdev today severely condemned police excesses on his followers.
”They have not committed any sin. So why were they subjected to such brutality,”Baba Ramdev said while talking to a TV channel.
Speaking from an undisclosed location, he challenged the government
to arrest him with a proper warrant.
”I request the Prime Minister that if they (the police)want to arrest me, they should come with a proper warrant and during the day time. It is unfortunate that they came like thieves and did this,”Baba Ramdev said.
He also appealed people to protest police action.
In a late night action, police descended on Ramlila Maidan in the early hours today and cleared the ground of Baba Ramdev and his supporters .
Baba was later detained and taken to an undisclosed location.
