New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday called up his Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif to express his grief over deadly bomb blast in Lahore which left over 50 people dead.
During his conversation with Sharif, he also underlined the need for uncompromising efforts to fight terrorism.
“PM @narendramodi called Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif to express his deep condolences at the terrorist attack in #Lahore,” informed spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs Vikas Swaroop.
“During the conversation, PM @narendramodi underlined the need for uncompromising efforts to fight against terrorism,” he said in another tweet.
Over 50 people were killed and around 200 injured after an explosion in Gulshan-i-Iqbal Park of Iqbal Town in Lahore, Pakistan, on Sunday. (ANI)
