Talking to UNI, Senior Police Inspector of Band Garden Police Station, Suhas Nadgouda, said yesterday”We have sought the permission to conduct the voice sample tests of both the persons from the court and next hearing will come up on February 21.” He said Narvekar and Gorhe were booked on the basis of their mobile phone conversations, which were intercepted by the police on December 27. During their conversations, both have given the instruction to their party workers to set ablaze buses and trucks.

Mr Nadgouda said the plea was filed before Judicial Magistrate First Class R L Wankhede, seeking permission to conduct the tests on the two to match their voices with those on the recorded conversation.

The court has directed Narvekar and Gorhe to file their reply in this regard before February 21.
