New Delhi, July 10: The AIFF Players Status Committee, that has been entrusted the job of deciding the validity of the suspension of Bhaichung Bhutia by Mohun Bagan, has sought “some clarifications” from the national federation.
Committee chairman KP Sunny said the matter would be taken up after he gets a reply on the clarifications he sought from the AIFF General Secretary Alberto Colaco.
“No date for any meeting (of the Committee) is yet to be fixed. We have been informed of the case by the AIFF but I have sought some clarifications,” Sunny told PTI from Kerala, refusing to divulge the clarifications he had sought.
Asked if his Committee would demand or take into consideration any opinion by the Indian Football Association on the issue, Sunny, who is also the Kerala Football Association Secretary, said, “At this stage I can’t say anything.
