Play hockey for country or quit: A K Matoo

Pune, January 12: Impasse has gone in depth, as the hockey India has refused to take all the demands into consideration of Indian hockey team. The team players have urged to hockey India for three prime demands to incorporate which were increase in salaries, sponsorship and gradation system for the players.

Addressing a press conference, hockey India President A K Matoo affirmed that the players should play for country instead of lucrative offers and money. As no country in the world is playing for money and asking for such demands will not be taken any more as the hockey India will work out for good returns for the players.

Hockey India has taken hard step and given ultimatum of one day to respond over the request made by the organization to accept the term or quit otherwise a new team will be formed for the world Cup to represent the nation.

A K Matoo has appealed to players to come out in field with fresh initiative to win the upcoming tournament.
