Pilot scandal: Pilot & tout held in Ahmedabad

New Delhi, Apr 5 (UNI) Delhi police arrested two more persons, including a pilot, in Ahmedabad for allegedly using forged marksheets to procure licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

The arrest has taken the total number in such cases to 11 while those arrested by the Delhi police to five. Two pilots were apprehended by Rajasthan Police in Jaipur in
connection with the racket, and senior DGCA official and three touts were also arrested in this case earlier.

Today’s arrest has been done by the Crime Branch from Ahmedabad. A senior police official said one of the arrested persons is a pilot while another is a tout.
Action was taken after a complaint was filed by the DGCA that he forged marksheets to obtain a licence.

Late last Sunday, police had arrested one Abhinav Kaushik, an Indigo pilot, in this connection. He had allegedly procured Airlines Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) using fake documents.
