Permission denied for CPM’s public meeting at Nizam College

Hyderabad: After the threat posed by BJP MLA of Gosha Mahal, T. Raja Singh, Central Zone of Hyderabad City Police refused permission for holding public meeting by CPI on 19th March at Nizam College grounds. Kerala CM, Vijayan was invited as Chief Guest for the proposed function.

It may be mentioned that Raja Singh had written a letter to DGP, Mr. Anurag Sharma that he would not allow the public meeting proposed to be held at Nizam College on 19th March in which Kerala CM was the Chief Guest. He alleged that the hands of Kerala CM are stained with the blood of RSS workers in Kerala.

Police did not confirm that they cancelled permission for the proposed meeting at the instance of Raja Singh’s letter. According to the orders of ACP of Abids, Mr. Raghavindra Reddy, police denied permission since prohibitory orders are in force which do not allow any meeting or protest rallies to be held within 2 km radius of the Assembly since it is in session.
