Patna, November 14: The authorities of Patna Medical College and Hospital would move the state Human Rights Commission giving details of the number of people who died on the first four days of the ongoing strike by junior doctors.
The strike has been continuing since Tuesday in PMCH and health services in Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital also suffered when junior doctors there joined the strike on Thursday midnight demanding enhanced monthly stipend.
“We would submit the report to Bihar Human Rights Commission (BHRC) in a couple of days,” PMCH Superintendent Dr O P Choudhary said.
Functioning of Patna and Darbhanga medical colleges and hospitals continued to be affected with over 750 junior doctors remaining on strike to press for their demand.
Around 500 PMCH junior doctors proceeded on an indefinite strike from Tuesday midnight demanding enhancement of monthly stipend from Rs 13000 to Rs 25000.
