Patanjali, owned by Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, is likely to ink pact with the Telangana Government to source agri-produce for its Nagapur based plant.
Nizamabad MP K Kavitha informed this to reporters here on Friday. Kavitha said that Patanjali has sought a list of crops produced in the state in this direction. She said that a meeting of TS officials and Patanjali would be held soon where the details about the agriculture produce would be submitted to Patanjali.
Last November, Patanjali CEO Balakrishna, accompanied by Kavitha, had visited Sattupally village in Nizamabad and inspected the turmeric crop. The Nizamabad MP had informed that Patanjali would establish turmeric based plant in the district. She said that turmeric crop would revitalize health of the masses and could revitalize state’s economy. Telangana accounts for 60 per cent of the total turmeric produced in India. (INN)
