Lucknow, January 21: Uttar Pradesh Assembly today passed a resolution recommending Parliament’s proposal to increase the reservation for the Scheudle Castes and Schedule Tribes for another 10 years.
The House passed the resolution sent by the Parliament to approve its 109th amendment, which extends the reservation facility to the SC/ST for another 10 years.
The House, which began its proceedings after the Governor’s address to the joint session of the legislature on the opening day of the budget session, also took up other legislative businesses, including tabling of two bills, which will replace the progumulated Ordinances when the Assembly was not in session.
