Kishwar Desai, the Chair of The Arts and Cultural Heritage Trust noted, “The Arts and Cultural Heritage Trust, a charitable NGO, is honoured to invite the Begum Jaan team to Amritsar. We thank Vishesh Films and Play Entertainment for supporting us with this charity screening. The mandate of The Arts and Cultural Heritage Trust is to not only set up the Partition Museum but to also create interaction and dialogue through cultural events which will give us fresh understanding of the Partition of India. We will be inviting authors, poets, artists, musicians, singers-from India and abroad to explore different facets of the Partition, and the important historical role of Punjab and Bengal. Begum Jaan is a much anticipated film that helps tell the story of how people were affected in Partition.”

Mahesh Bhatt said, “Visiting the museum was a butterfly moment for me. If you can dream it, you can do it. The hand full of people got together and dreamt a dream to create the first ever Partition Museum. I was moved to take a walk through the corridors of the museum. I felt I was stepping back in time.” (ANI)
