Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s first programme in Switzerland is a commemorative meeting on TDP Founder and Former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao’s death anniversary.
Speaking at the gathering organised by the Telugu NRI community in Zurich, Switzerland, the Chief Minister underlined the role of NRIs who can provide access to markets, sources of investment, expertise, knowledge and technology.
Telugu NRIs who have settled in Switzerland as well as an NRI Telugu delegation from England welcomed the Chief Minister, who is on a three-day visit for Davos Summit.
The Chief Minister said AP has a very high number of NRIs who can be part of state’s development process. He asked the NRI community to be a part of the government’s flagship Smart Village – Smart Ward Programme.
Meanwhile, a Telugu professor working in the biomedical field suggested the Chief Minister to invite world renowned scientists in their respective fields to come to Andhra Pradesh and start new research projects.
Responding positively to his suggestion, the Chief Minister asked him and other participants to network with the best in the world. He said that Andhra Pradesh is going to be a knowledge and education hub with renowned universities from all over the world.
During an interactive session that followed, the Chief Minister enquired the participants on their work culture and what best practices Andhra Pradesh could adapt.
