New Delhi, November 19: As the winter session of Parliament begins today lots of issues seem to raise uproar in the house.
Starting from the Madu Koda money laundering affair to telecom scam and Maoist violence to exorbitant rise in price, issues are plenty for the first day of the winter session. The discussion on corruption case of Koda may lead to commotion in the house, especially at a time when Jharkhand assembly elections round the corner.
Moreover, the report of the Liberhan enquiry commission based on the demolition of Babri masjid will probably create a ruckus between the UPA and the BJP.
BJP has however decided to bring an Adjournment Motion in the Lok Sabha on the very first day of the session on the basis of Sugarcane (Control) Amendment Order, 2009. The opposition has also decided to raise other sensitive issues including that of the condition of the Tamilians in Sri Lanka, Climate Change, and relation with China.
Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar has recently convened a meeting of leaders of political parties to discuss the ways to ensure smooth conduction of the proceedings in the Parliament.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would miss the initial days of the session as he will be away in US from November 21 to meet US President Barack Obama and attend the CHOGM meeting.
