Hyderabad, May 11: Police today arrested four persons alleged to be henchmen of slain TDP leader Paritala Ravi and claimed to have thwarted their plan for extortions and land settlements.
The four identified as Kancharla Prashanth alias Kittu, Ravindra Chary, T Yadagiri and Vallabh Tiwary, who were allegedly involved in murder, dacoity, extortions among others since 1995, had become inoperative after the murder of Paritala Ravindra, Task Force Deputy Commissioner of Police V B Kamalasan Reddy said.
“After the murder of Paritala Ravi, all the four accused became inoperative. But soon after the murder of Maddelacheruvu Suri, all the accused planned, conspired together and formed a gang for committing extortions, land settlements and settling civil disputes,” Reddy said adding four daggers and disputed land documents were seized from their possession.
