Hyderabad: On the direction of Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the School Education Department formed a committee to examine the issue of District Fee Regulatory Committee (DFRC) and submit a report on the same.
The government order issued on March 21, stated that the director of school education department, Telangana had submitted proposals for the regulation of fees in private recognised and unaided schools in the state and had proposed to constitute DFRCs to recommend the fee structure of each school.
A new committee which will be headed by T Tirupathi Rao has been constituted by the government, to look into the matter. The committee is chaired by T Tirupathi Rao former vice-chancellor of OU while G Kishan commissioner and director of school education department is its convenor.
Similar committee was formed in December last year, to look into the DFRC issue, which had submitted a report to the principal secretary of education. The committee had taken into account recommendations from all stakeholders including parents and schools.
