Fake job racket busted in Hyderabad, two held

Hyderabad: Two persons were arrested on Saturday by sleuths of the Cyber Crime Cell of Hyderabad city police for cheating people by promising them jobs abroad and extracting money from them.

According to sources Amith Kumar (33) of Harsh Vihar in New Delhi and Vipin Sharma (26) of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh had duped a number of job aspirants.

DCP Detective Department, Avinash Mohanty disclosed that the police received compliant in September last year by a man who stated that he had received phone calls from callers who told that they were representatives of ‘Confirmnaukri.com’. They gave job offer to the victim.

They collected money from him to the tune of Rs. 1,00,942 on pretext of registration fee, verification fee, training fee and ticket. They asked him to deposit the amount in bank accounts and transfer through Pay TM.

On the basis of the complaint, the police formed a special team traced the members in New Delhi with the help of phone numbers. In a raid the police caught Amith and Vipin and seized several ATM cards, mobile phones and other documents.
