Bijnor (UP), June 08: A pair in love allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison as their families were opposed to their union, police said today.
Udai Raj (21), resident of Ajupura village, and Sarvesh Kumari (19), resident of Jahanabad village, were distant cousins. The pair was upset for some time as their families were against their relationship, they said.
The duo yesterday had gone to attend a wedding ceremony in Ajupura village where both of them committed suicide by consuming pesticide, they said.
