‘Paid’ news will kill faith in media: Amitabh Bachchan

New Delhi, January 20: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan taken a serious concern on the practise of ‘paid news syndrome’ in media industry by telling that it will kill the faith of media in the general public and it should be avoided. He was telling this to journalists at the press conference of his forthcoming film ‘Rann’.

On a question put up by the MyNews that the behavoiur of the media should change or not as what he personally think on the media, he said that, “If the change is for good then it is always welcome. Media should change his approach towards common man and always look for positive stories which are going around’.

He criticizes the policy of ‘paid news’ which certain media houses are doing for the sake of there business but loosing faith among the readers and viewers.He also applauded for the article against the paid news by the chairman of editor’s guild Rajdeep Sardesai which was published in a news paper recently.

Mr. Bachchan said that, “I personally congratulated Rajdeep for his article after reading it and said that it should avoided by themedia and something has to be done to curb this malpractise”.
