Hyderabad: Advocates of Telangana are continuing their protest against the appointment of judges belonging to Andhra in Telangana State. Advocates in the district courts of Telangana also participated in the boycott.
Telangana Advocates Joint Action Committee opposed the appointment of Judges of A.P. against vacancies in Telangana. The committee demanded to call them back, otherwise the protest would be intensify. President of the Hyderabad High Court Advocates’ Association, Mr. G. Ram Mohan Rao demanded the Govt. of India to stop this injustice.
Telangana Advocates protested in front of High Court and shouted slogans. The representatives of the committee told that despite bifurcation of states, division of High Court is being delayed. It is not only causing delay in deciding the cases but also causing inconvenience to public. Representations were made to Home Minister, Law Minister and PM but only assurances were given and no action was taken. The association members threatened that if these demands are not fulfilled immediately, the agitation would be intensified.
