Hyderabad: Transport Department of Govt. of Telangana will file criminal cases against the managements of the schools who ply school buses without fitness certificates. Earlier, a fine of Rs. 2000 used to be collected but now all such buses would be seized by Transport Department which do not have fitness certificate. Their permits would be cancelled and the driving licenses of the drivers would be suspended for three months.
It may be mentioned that in Hyderabad 1400 school buses ply everyday out of which only 960 buses have fitness certificates.
