MIM Floor Leader Akbaruddin Owaisi today expressed serious concern over cash crunch being faced by the citizens with all the ATMs remaining closed due to shortage of cash.
Participating in the debate on the annual budget in the Assembly on Friday, the MIM leader wondered what has happened to the flow of money in the State though the Central government has been proclaiming that enough cash was being made available though there were hiccups in the beginning in the wake of demonetization.
Owaisi further pointed out that the excuse being given by the banking institutions for this sorry state of affairs was that the money was made available to other States like UP, Goa and so on. “We are not bothered whether the money has gone to UP, Manipur, Goa or any other State. The Telangana Government should take up the issue with the concerned authorities and ensure that enough money was made available in the ATMs,” he observed. (NSS)
