Hyderabad, December 30:A large number of applications have been received for the posts of Village Revenue Officer (VRO) and Village Revenue Assistants (VRA).
The examination is to be held on January 30, 2012 for both the posts.
The Chief Commissioner of Land Administration and Special Secretary to Government, has informed today, that they have received a total of 9,45,666 applications for the 1172 VRO posts, and 1,07,457 applications for the 6029 VAO posts across the state.
As many as 34,171 candidates applied for both the posts. A record number of 99,636 applications were received from Guntur district, while only 5,162 applications ere received from Visakhapatnam district.
The officials have informed that the JNTU would be conducting the examination and 3,500 examination centers would be organised across the state.(NSS)
