New Delhi, December 17: Addressing a press conference related to the sealing issue in capital, Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy said, “The passage of the Bill will provide relief to the people of Delhi for one more year beginning January 1, 2010.
By that time we will make some policies and laws to find a permanent solution to the problem”.
Is this the way we are going to solve the problem of illegal construction? What’s the message the govt. wants to give to the people? It’s like you can make any illegal construction anywhere and once someone comes to demolish it you just have to make hue and cry and that land will be yours forever. It’s has become a fashion to attack police as we have seen in noida recently. Long live this democracy.
Another issue that makes mockery of our democracy is the prices of necessary commodities. It’s like Sheela dixit is teasing us, “You yourself have chosen me and have to bear me for 5 years.” Is this the democracy we should be proud of?
Infect India is not democracy in real sense but democratically elected federal system. Once the people have chosen their govt. there is no role they can play to control it unless its duration is complete. Don’t you think that 5 years are good enough for any politician to make big money, has not this been repeated again and again like in Koda case. Even if we change it next time the damage is already done. Long live our democracy!!!
