Opposition trying to halt development: TRS

TRS leader Karne Prabhakar today charged the Opposition parties with trying to halt development works in the State like Saindhavas of Mahabharatha. “They are indulging in mud-slinging at the government due to jealousy and demanding ministers to resign without any reason”, he said.

Prabhakar’s remarks assume significance as the Opposition demanded that Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao resign owning responsibility to the Nanakramguda multi-storied building collapse incident. The TRS leader turned down the Opposition leaders’ demand and said it was not new for the TRS leaders to resign as and when the situation arose. He wanted to know what TPCC Chief Utham Kumar Reddy and working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka have done for Telangana during the previous regime.

During statehood movement, they tried to stall Telangana and after achieving it now, they are   coming in the way of development of the State, he charged. “Of course, we have set world record in tendering resignations during the course of statehood movement and it was known to people”, he claimed. He also slammed the Congress and Telangana Telugu Desam party for making false allegations for the sake of political mileage. Flaying the comments made by the Opposition leaders, Prabhakar said they are ready to expose the misdeeds of the previous governments. The TRS will explain what it has done during its two-and-a-half year stint and the Congress should do so as what it had done for Telangana for 10 years. (NSS)
