Laxman seeks Sainik school in T State

BJP Telangana State party today urged the Centre al government to open a Sainik school in the Telangana State.

In a letter to Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, State BJP chief Dr K Laxman stated that there were two Sainik schools in untied Andhra Pradesh before bifurcation of the united Andhra Pradesh State. But after bifurcation, both the schools one each at Korukonda in Visakhapatnam district and Kalikiri in Chitoor district are under the ambit of residual Andhra Pradesh. In view of the presence of a number of defence establishments in and around Hyderabad city, there was a need for a Sainik school in Telangana State, he added. (NSS)
