Opp wants to separate India between rich and poor: Rahul Gandhi

Samalakha(Haryana), October 10: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today accused the opposition for attempting to infuse class differentiation in the nation. The reaction was followed by the verbal attacks from those who criticised and belittled him for staying in dalit homes.

Addressing an election rally here the Congress leader reportedly said that the opposition is hankering to have one India for the poor and another for the rich.

Unlike other parties Congress is dedicated to work for the upliftment of the society especially the underprivileged and poor, he added.

In his short speech he said that the citizens have discarded the hypothesis of those who allotted ‘India Shinning’ slogan. Attacking the opposition he said that the citizens eliminated the NDA in 2004 when they compelled people to dream of ‘India Shinning’. Whereas the truth is that the nation progressed only for the elite class which did not incorporate the poor, farmers and dalits. Same happened in 2009 when the opposition raised burning topics such as India-Pakistan affairs and terrorist attacks, and the citizens yet again dismissed them.

Bantering the verbal attacks from the opposition Rahul said that those who never visited the Dalit homes and never lived their lives for even a day, have picked up ‘India Shinning’ type of slogans from television.

Exhibiting confidence he said that Congress’ slogans are not inspired from the idiot box but from the households of the poor and deprived.
