Skills and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Computer Science or Electronics
3+ years experience in remotely supporting customers with network related issues as well as issues with serial communication.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP routing and subnetting and familiarity with IEEE Ethernet standards including 802.3, 802.11, 802.1x personal and enterprise wireless technology. Cellular knowledge a plus
Proven experience with deploying networks in both Ethernet as well WiFi
Deep knowledge of serial communication like RS232, RS485 & RS422, USB, I2S and SPI
Admin-level OS experience with Windows and Linux
Positive attitude with a strong, proven desire to help customers even in the most trying circumstances
Strong English verbal and written communication skills for resolving issues quickly, providing an appropriate solution, and building relationships with customers
Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
Ability to learn, manage and support multiple product lines
Ability to come up with innovative and creative solutions to resolve customers issues
Experience using a customer relationship manager (CRM) such as Oracle Service Cloud, salesforce.com, etc.
