One Culprit arrested, Stolen Gold ornaments recovered

Hyderabad: The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone Team, today apprehended one accused by name K.Sammaiah who committed theft of one bag which contains Gold ornaments and Cell phone in front of Yellamma Temple, Balkampet, SR Nagar in the city. Police recovered seven Tulas of Gold ornaments and one Redmi Note4 Cell phone from his possession.

The accused Sammaiah is native of Aleru village of Jangaon District. He studied upto 7 th class. Later he worked as Auto driver and Car driver in Hyderabad. In the year 1992 he got job in RTC. At present he is working as Liaison officer in TSRTC at HCU (Hyderabad Central University) Bus depot,
Gachibowli. On December 12, 2018, the accused along with his family members went to attend a function at Yellamma Temple. After attending function, at about 19.00 hrs he came to his bike parking place and observed that one bag was kept on his bike. He opened the bag and found some gold ornaments and one Cell phone in it. He immediately took the bag and fled away from the spot along with the bag which contains gold ornaments i.e. Long chain, Necklace, Ear Tops, Finger Ring, Small Chain and Small finger rings and Red mi note4 Cell phone.

The accused came to Mythrivanam, Ameerpet, today to sell the stolen property. On credible information, the West Zone Task Force team apprehended the accused along with stolen gold ornaments and cell phone. The accused along with the seized property was handed over to SHO, SR Nagar Police Station for further investigation.
