Kozhikode (Kerala): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday targeted Pakistan, saying that there is one country in Asia which is conspiring to spill “blood” across the continent and exporting terror to the world.
“There is a country in Asia which is conspiring that there is bloodbath across Asia, so that the whole Asia comes in the grip of terrorism and innocents are killed,” the Prime Minister said, without directly taking the name of Pakistan.
Addressing a public gathering in Kerala on the sidelines of the BJP national council meeting, Modi said that terrorism is affecting India’s neighbours, including Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
“In the world when reports of terrorism come, then this news also follows that the terrorists came from that (neighbouring) country, or like Osama bin Laden, have found a hideout there.”
Modi also said that “terrorism is the enemy of humanity” and people need to join their hands to defeat terrorism.
Speaking with vigour, Modi said, “India has never bowed down to terrorism in the past and will strive to defeat it.”
In a strong message to Pakistan, Modi said, “Our 18 soldiers had to sacrifice their lives because of terrorists exported by our neighbouring country.”
“And terrorists should clearly hear out that India will never forget the Uri attack,” he added.
Modi also said that “there is anger in entire country post the Uri attack.”
Hailing the armed forces of the country for foiling infiltration bids of terrorists, Modi said: “We are very proud of our armed forces. There have been 17 attempts by fidayeen attackers sent by our neighbours which our brave soldiers have defeated.”
“In the last few months, our soldiers have killed over 110 terrorists which is the highest in recent years,” he added.
The Prime Minister also said, “There is one nation in Asia whose aim is that the 21st century does not become Asia’s and is associated with terrorism.”
