Jammu, February 24: Blaming the Omar Abdullah regime for creating, what it called, “counter insurgency stone pelting force”, opposition PDP today said the government was behaving in an autocratic manner.
“Omar Abdullah government is behaving in an autocratic manner. It is very unfortunate. They are muzzling the voice of opposition and people. It won’t help,” PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti told reporters outside the Assembly here.
“Why does the government not allow discussion over the killings and human rights violations,” Mufti asked.
“The government does not dare to face us on the floor of the House for their failure to establish law and order in Kashmir,” she alleged.
PDP staged a walkout for the second consecutive day demanding discussion and official statement from the government.
The state government has formed a counter insurgency stone pelting force which was involved in the death of the infant in Baramulla, Mufti alleged.
