NTR hurt in film shooting; hospitalized

Hyderabad, August 13: The popular young hero, Mr Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao (NTR) Junior sustained simple injuries in an accident occurred during the shooting of new film “Brinavanam” at Kokapet on the city outskirts on Friday.

NTR sustained injuries on the head, leg and head during the climax fighting scenes. He was immediately rushed to the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) hospital Secunderabad.

According to film unit sources, NTR was performing an action scene in which he was driving a bike in a stone quarry. He reportedly turned the vehicle to left side and skidded injuring himself. On shifting him to the hospital, the doctors sewed five stitches on his head.

Consequently, the film shooting has been cancelled for the day.
“Brindavanam” director Mr Vamsi and producer Mr Dil Raju felt that the shot would be risky and reportedly advised to use a dupe in place of NTR. But the young actor said that he would do the scene on his own and has went ahead and performed the fight scene.

The KIMS’ doctors advised rest for a few days to the injured NTR and there was no need for panic as he would be would be discharged shortly. Sources said that the shooting would be resumed after four days.

On receipt of the information, the Telugu Desam party leaders, Mr
Revanth Reddy, Mr Talasani Srinivas Rao, Mr Teegala Krishna Reddy and others called on NTR at the hospital. Mr NTR’s father, Mr Harikrishna visited the hospital and told that there was “nothing to worry as he will recover soon”. The NTR fans prayed the god to give him strength to recover early. (NSS)
