Jammu, Sept. 13 : Expressing serious concern over pro-Pakistan slogans being raised in Jammu and Kashmir, the National Panthers Party (NPP) on Sunday called for tough stand on anti-national elements and alleged that the BJP-led NDA Government had miserably failed in initiating tough action against them.
“It is the failure of the government to take strict action against the anti-national elements, who have an open field today. They feel emboldened because of lack of will on the part of the government to take any action against them,” NPP chairman Harsh Dev Singh said.
“The Government of India and state will have to adopt tough posturing against all such elements if they want to prevent any further deterioration in the days to come,” he added.
Singh further said that things are getting out of control and they are reverting back to 1990s when Pakistan agents had gained control over Jammu and Kashmir.
A clash broke out between the police and protestors after pro-Pakistan slogans were raised near the venue of the ‘Big Kashmir Marathon’ at Hazratbal here on Sunday.
The youth raised slogans in favour of freedom and pelted rocks on the forces guarding the venue in the varsity.
The police and paramilitary forces baton charged the youth when they pelted stones at them. (ANI)
