New Delhi, September 16:To manage the extra rush of passengers in the coming festive season, Northern Railway has decided not to issue platform tickets in major railway stations in the city from September 20 to October 25.
During this period “there will be no sale of platform tickets at Delhi Jn. (Old Delhi), New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin and Delhi Sarai Rohilla railway stations,” said a release.
However, platform tickets would be given on demand to senior citizens, physically challenged, medically sick and ladies travelling alone at the ‘assistance booth’ at these stations, the release said. PTI
