No plans to withdraw the general strike: TEJAC

Hyderabad, August 31: Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee chairman Swamy Goud on Tuesday sought the support of Telangana Congress Steering Committee convener K Jana Reddy for the people’s general strike scheduled to begin on September 6.

Talking to media persons, Swamy Goud said that Jana Reddy responded positively to the suggestion and assured him to take a decision after discussing the issue at steering committee meeting on Wednesday. He refuted the reports that appeared in a section of media that JAC would postpone people’s general strike. He requested all political leaders to take concrete steps to achieve the Telangana state,

Another JAC leader Vittal took serious note on Telugu Desam Telangana Forum members moving privilege motion and lodging a SC/STs Atrocities case against Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram for making inflammatory remarks on Telangana leaders. Kodandaram and other Telangana leaders would not cow down to such threats and ready to go to jail for the Telangana state, he said.

Refuting the TDP T-Forum’s allegations that Kodandaram was acting as an agent of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao, he said that Kodandaram was acting as an agent of Telangana people and not any party or individual.
