NEW DELHI: ‘No plans of returning to India till I feel safe from unfair prosecution’ says Islamic preacher Dr. Zakir Naik, DNA reported.
While dismissing the reports of his return to India, Naik in an audio statement said, “The news of my coming to India is totally baseless and false. I have no plans to come to India till I don’t feel safe from unfair prosecution. Insha Allah when I feel that the government will be just and fair, I will surely return to my homeland.”

Ever since Dr. Zakir Naik‘s preachings of Islam on ‘Peace TV’ garnered millions of viewers and many reverting to Islam, Dr. Zakir Naik was targeted for inviting people to the peaceful religion Islam.
Never did the preacher called for any Anti-Islamic acts done by terrorists and yet he is accused of inspiring the 2016 Dhaka attack.
Unlike other Hindutva leaders who boldly threaten to kill minority community, ongoing mob lynchings by cow vigilantism, and saffron party leaders threatening to change the decades-old Indian Constitution which made India a secular country, none of these people are brought to prosecution but Dr. Naik has somehow become a wanted criminal?
An Indian preacher who boldly took a stance and invited people to drop anti-social, anti-Islamic activities that have no place in Islam is now accused of inspiring terrorist activity in Bangladesh and not even India.
The Indian government said it is yet to receive an official confirmation from Malaysia with regard to the extradition of Naik.
