New Delhi, April 21: Delhi High Court today dismissed fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Ibrahim Parker’s plea challenging the union government’s decision against issuing her a fresh passport.
Justice S Muralidhar dismissed Parker’s plea on the ground that she did not pursue her plea in the court.
“For the last several hearings, none appeared for the petitioner (Parker). It seems she is not interested in pursuing the matter any more,” Justice Muralidhar said while dismissing her plea.
Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs had filed an affidavit before the court saying Parker cannot be issued a fresh passport as she might “misuse” it to help her brother’s criminal activities.
