Mumbai, April 22: There will be no flights landing or taking off in Mumbai on Saturday (April 23) and on April 30.
Both runways at the Mumbai airport will be unavailable from 11.30 am to 4.30 pm for renovation.
The runways have been closed to undertake realignment of edge and centreline lights because the runways have been made wider.
The width of the runways has increased from 45 metres to 60 metres to facilitate movement of suber jumbos like A380s.
The main runway at the Mumbai airport is undergoing reconstruction.
All airlines have been informed about the changes, say airport officials.
Renovation work began in September last year and is expected to end in June this year.
