Patna, August 23: Former Union minister and Nitish Kumar’s colleague in the Vajpayee cabinet, Digvijay Singh has termed the chief minister’s demand for special state category status as ridiculous.
Singh, who is also the convener of the newly created Lok Morcha said that Nitish should know such status was granted by the National Development Council and not the Centre.
The independent MP from Banka told reporters here that the demand made by Nitish was nothing but a political stunt aimed at cheating and befooling the people of the state.
