New Delhi, July 03: Nearly 4000 houses are ready for allotment to economically weaker sections (EWS) here of the total 37,936 units proposed under the Rajiv Awas Yojna scheme, the Lok Sabha was informed today.
“Overall, six projects including five by the Delhi State Industrial Infrastructural Development Corporation (DSIIDC) and one by DDA are being implemented by the Delhi Government,” Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Kumari Selja said in a written reply.
Giving details of construction status of the projects, she said that 3868 dwelling units for urban poor are ready for handover at Bawana, while housing projects at Jonapur and Nangli Sakarwati in Najafgarh are awaiting environmental clearance.
She said that as per information, the state government has dropped its slum relocation project at Deramandi in the absence of NoC from the environment department.
