Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy has appealed to the corporates to actively participate in social activities as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Nayani was speaking after flagging off the 5K Run organised by Institute of Companies Secretaries of India at Necklace Road here on Sunday. He said corporates could play a major role in betterment of society. He also listed out measures being taken by the State Government to develop Hyderabad. He said Hyderabad would soon become a signal free city through the construction of skyways.
Earlier, Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha urged the corporates to spend two percent of their profits on social activities. She asked them to be a partner in the welfare schemes being implemented by the State Government.
MLA C Ramchandra Reddy and representatives of several prominent corporates also participate in the event. (INN)
