Nature beckons lovers, but hurdles aplenty in Kashmir

Srinagar, March 28: As the spring begets new flowers in the Mughal era gardens of Kashmir and fresh snow water gushes down the streams of this Himalayan valley, which makes it an ideal location for a romantic date, love birds find it difficult to meet and share a few hours of joy and happiness.

In a society where pre-marital relation is deemed bad and an immoral affair, dating is a herculean task.

Threat that a policeman might trouble them for money or moral policing brigades might hold them and call their families to break open the secret affair are some of the things that the couples face here.

The love birds in Kashmir are caught between the devil and the deep sea.
